Are you feeling excited? Fed up? Or anxious?
When they say, in August, that there are only 120 shopping days left, do you panic? Perhaps you feel the magic of Christmas is gone?

Christmas is a time to celebrate. Kids love it and feel excited about fairy lights, special treats, Santa, games, carols, snow, holly, Christmas food, and families together.
Of course, they have a wish list for the big day but it’s the lead-up to Christmas that is exciting.
Children talk excitedly about the latest toy or game they hope to get but they’re more animated about the experiences, symbols and what they expect to see every year as they grow older. They think back to earlier Christmases when the family did something special together and those experiences became a family tradition. They look forward to those special moments each year.
Years later, as adults, we remember those moments fondly and perhaps they are adapted for our families. Most of us don’t remember the presents.
Our last drama class of the term is always the same. They are asked to dress up as a character associated with Christmas. It can be anything from the fairy in the tree to a Christmas pudding! When all is assembled they create a story with their characters. Anything can happen and usually does! But whatever the outcome, they have had the best time and end the term feeling excited, happy and hopeful.
